We have strawberries coming out of our ears.

I love strawberries. My parents love strawberries. Many people I know love strawberries.

But this is starting to go overboard.

These three containers you see are just SOME of the strawberries we’ve harvested this spring and summer. We’ve given a lot of strawberries away. We’ve given strawberry plants away. Some of the strawberries are being frozen whole for other things in the future.  And lots of them are getting turned into preserves.

Mom made these earlier today.  Really simple recipe with just the strawberries and sugar to taste (about 1 cup or less to two bowls of berries for Mom). I got to package all of them up while she ran errands today.

This is on top of all the other homemade preserves currently frozen in our freezer.

HELP US WE HAVE TOO MANY STRAWBERRIES.

P.S. While I was waiting for one of these photos to upload, I went outside to see how many berries we had, because Mom had picked two whole large bowls of berries this morning.

I already was able to pick a handful, and there were plenty more left too.
